About Us

CarbonCopy is a knowledge platform that tracks and interprets key developments across the climate and energy sectors. We publish a subscriber-led, fortnightly newsletter focused on India’s evolving climate and energy landscape, alongside in-depth reporting and analysis.

Beyond the newsletter, CarbonCopy commissions original reporting and curates perspectives from guest writers, researchers, and domain experts. Our coverage foregrounds voices and ideas from India and the Global South, and is guided by public interest, rationality, and editorial independence.

CarbonCopy is supported by Climate Trends, a strategic communications and research agency that works to simplify complex environmental issues through rigorous research, clear storytelling, and capacity building.

Aarti Khosla

Founder–Director

Aarti Khosla is a communications professional with nearly two decades of experience across media relations, communication strategy, and public campaigns. She co-founded CarbonCopy in 2017 and is deeply committed to communicating climate change in ways that engage the public and influence decision-makers. Prior to CarbonCopy, she worked with WWF's climate and energy team, The Energy Resources Institute, and briefly taught at the University of Delhi.

Anushka Mohite

Senior Associate

Anushka Mohite has over 15 years of editorial experience across newsrooms and digital publications. She previously served as Associate Editor at CarbonCopy, where she reported on climate issues and edited the fortnightly newsletter. Before that, she was Deputy Chief Content Producer at Hindustan Times, Mumbai, and has also worked as Assistant Editor at ELLE India. She holds a Master's degree in International Journalism from Cardiff University and is based in Mumbai.

Shaswata Kundu Chaudhari

Writer-Researcher

Shaswata has been covering topics on climate impacts on marginal rural communities, as well as how companies and emerging technologies are adapting to changing climate. His stories have appeared in publications such as The Independent and The Hindu. Most recently, his work has focused on analysing topics around climate tech, mobility, and infrastructure.

Moonis Ijlal

Senior Writer

Moonis Ijlal is a journalist, historian, and visual artist with 14 years of experience in journalism. He has worked as a staff writer at The Indian Express and as a news editor at NDTV. He holds a PhD in history and has taught environmental movements and India's ecological history at the University of Delhi. He has also produced over 200 half-hour daily debate programmes examining the impact of social media on users and formal news media.

Paridhi Choudhary

Writer

Paridhi writes about climate, policy, and finance, keeping the on-ground realities of the people in mind. She recently graduated from the Asian College of Journalism and holds a Sociology (Hons) degree from Lady Shri Ram College for Women.

Riddhi Tandon

Digital Associate

Riddhi is a communications professional with a background in development communication and digital engagement. She works at the intersection of research, strategy, and creative content, with a focus on climate and sustainability. At CarbonCopy, she supports digital strategy, content development, and platform management.
